Billions of Dollars Are Spent Every Day to Manipulate and Change Your Thoughts, Desires, and Behaviors
The majority of the social world that you move through each day is a thinly-veiled advertising delivery system. That much is clear by now, and this is coming from someone who doesn’t have a conspiracy theory bone in their whole body. Just look around you!
We probably did go to the moon, I doubt that there’s some highly-organized plot to steal your stem cells or control your mind with flu shots — and the modern world is clamoring with companies who are buying and bidding on your attention.
They are spending literally billions of dollars to influence your attitudes, opinions, and buying patterns, and they wouldn’t do this unless it worked. But it’s one of those things that we don’t tend to realize the stunning implications of, which I’ll reveal later on in this article.
Now, before I get too far ahead of myself, I should say that I’m an advertiser too! I won’t link here to my business, because that’s not the point of this article. But during the day, I have a vested interest in making you think a certain way about me and my company and my products.
