I Discovered a New Favorite Science Fiction Author and You Probably Haven’t Heard of Him Yet (But You Will)
I feel like I just discovered a new planet, or a comet or something!
As great as it feels to find a new favorite author who’s still around and producing great work, it’s also kinda distressing, when you consider how many phenomenal authors are working right now in obscurity, and to whom you’ll never be introduced.
I’ll take what I can get though, and what I got was an amazing science fiction series by Michael Mammay, starting with the book, Planetside, then Spaceside, and then finally on to Colonyside, all of which I enjoyed immensely.
He’s also got another one out — but that I haven’t read yet — called The Misfit Soldier, and a fifth, The Weight of Command, scheduled to be out on July 14th of this year.
But I’ve already spent many enjoyable hours with Mammay’s creation, Colonel Carl Butler, and today’s book, Colonyside, returns to the life and adventures of retired colonel Butler as he’s reluctantly pulled into more interstellar political intrigues and is asked to locate yet another missing person somewhere across the…
