So You’re Fighting to Grow Your Business — Do You Choose to Work on Christmas Eve?
Controversial advice from an entrepreneur in the trenches
It’s 9:30PM on Christmas Eve (right now as I’m typing this), and after I hit “publish” on this article, I’m diving right back into my task list.
I’ll be doing some more cold outreach to authors about promoting their book to my 100,000 followers on Instagram, then moving on to other essential business activities that are going to launch me to the kind of success I want to create in 2024.
But it’s not immediately obvious what I would recommend that other people do on Christmas Eve.
I’m not married and I don’t have children, so my decision is a lot less complicated. I think if you have a family that would appreciate you being there on Christmas Eve, your to-do list can wait, regardless of my opinion that you probably didn’t work hard enough during the rest of the week.
Most people don’t.
Most people need to work more, not less.
But I can’t automatically assume that the best course of action for you is to become a relentless maniac like me, spurred on by the smell of coffee and extra profits.
