“Get rich quick” exists, but “get rich easy” does not. Charlatans and snake-oil salesmen will take advantage of suckers until the heat death of our universe, but it’s entirely possible to make more money in the next five years (or ten) than you’ve made in your entire life up until this point.

You can become a millionaire in less than 5 years, but it’s going to be hard. You’re going to have to turn yourself into someone who is really, really good at making money, and that’s not easy. You’re also going to have to make some sacrifices, suffer a little bit, even, and that’s why the next 5 years will pass with far fewer people becoming millionaires than those who are just dreaming about it.

I find that any genuine, lasting financial success you’re going to create for yourself is going to be based on a solid foundation of work ethic and intelligently-directed action (and some luck, since we’re being honest here).

That’s not what most people want to hear, but it’s the truth. At least, that’s been my truth, and I see it supported in the work of people like Alex Becker and M.J. DeMarco.

That being said, it’s not surprising that so many people will fall short, because what I want to show you is that they’re trying to get rich slow, when that simply doesn’t work! The math just doesn’t check…
