The Best Thing I Did So Far in 2022? Launch My Substack Newsletter!

I also bought a Porsche in 2022, but the Substack decision was even better.

The most obvious question in the world is whether or not money can buy happiness. Because, of course it can.

I used to live in the mountains of India (I was there for work), and it was the first time I ever saw someone my own age crawling around on their hands and knees, weak from hunger.

You don’t think that that person would be a hell of a lot happier with some money?

Of course he would be.

Years later, on the opposite side of the world, I bought a black-on-black Porsche Boxster convertible, and in the weeks afterward, I felt…nothing.

Don’t get me wrong; I mean, I love my Porsche, and I’ve had some amazing times ripping down the street, blasting metal music, or enjoying calm, twilight drives that make me feel alive and connected to the universe.

But to be honest, buying a Porsche was a little bit of a letdown. It was an “Okay, what now?” moment that I’m still recovering from.
